I run a small research group at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University.

We do research on the boundary of three big sciences: physics, chemistry and biology. We use physics of open quantum systems to understand some of the most fundamental processes occurring on molecular level in living organisms. Our field has been also often referred to as quantum biology.

We study open quantum systems composed of molecules and their interaction with light and surrounding molecular systems. Best example of such systems are found in natural photosynthesis. We develop and simulate advance spectroscopic experiments on molecular systems.

Visit the research group web page to learn more detains about our research.
